AlternateChat
(2021-2022)
Our team is trying to improve communication devices for elementary school aged children with speech impairments in order to reduce alienation in their communities. We hope to develop an iOS that will function as an alternative communication device. The core feature of the app is the ability for users to add new words (slang or in other languages) to the app’s core word bank. In doing so, the user has more customizability over their communication and can feel more connected to their communities.
